The Most-Recommended Places in Singapore
Our 230 rankings name 2,145 different places between them. These are the ones that keep coming back — counted across food, things to do, places to stay and the outdoors at once.
Counted from 87 publications across 5 verticals, as of 2026-09-07.
In short: Across 230 Singapore rankings counted from 87 publications, Coney Island is named in more of them than anywhere else — 15 separate rankings, by 10 publications. The most widely named place is The Southern Ridges: 11 independent publications name it somewhere in these rankings. 2,145 places are ranked in total, and 97 of them appear in 3 rankings or more.
Two tables, because there are two kinds of agreement. The first counts rankings: how many different questions a place is one of the answers to. The second counts publications: how many independent mastheads name it. A park can appear in a dozen rankings; a stall that serves one dish can only ever appear in one, however many people rate it. Neither number is our opinion — both come from the same counts as the ranking pages, and every source is linked on those.

What this board is counting
Every ranking on this site answers one question — which chicken rice stall, which hike, which hotel — by counting how many independently published Singapore lists name each place. This page asks the question the individual rankings cannot: across all of them at once, which places does the Singapore press keep returning to?
Two different kinds of agreement are worth separating, so they get a table each. Breadth is a place that turns up in many different rankings: it is recommended for more than one reason, by writers answering different questions. Depth is a place named by many separate publications within a category: a lot of people, writing independently, arrived at the same answer to the same question.
Breadth flatters places that fit many categories. A park can plausibly appear in a list of hikes, a list of picnic spots, a list of places to take a dog and a list of sunset spots; a chicken rice stall can only ever be in the chicken rice ranking. That is why the depth table exists alongside it, and why the two look so different.
Why a property site keeps this board
Because the places on it are the argument for living somewhere. This site scores all ~12,800 HDB blocks in Singapore 0–100 across nine pillars — food access, green space, transit and the rest — from open government data, and the rankings above are counted from the published lists that same data is cross-checked against. If a place here is one you would want on your doorstep, the towns ranked by food access and the best places to live by lifestyle are the property-side answers to it.
The rankings rebuild monthly against freshly fetched sources and this board is recomputed from them, so it moves on its own. Last counted 2026-09-07.
What is the most-recommended place in Singapore?
Across 230 Singapore rankings counted from 87 publications, Coney Island is named in more of them than anywhere else — 15 separate rankings, by 10 publications. The most widely named place is The Southern Ridges: 11 independent publications name it somewhere in these rankings. 2,145 places are ranked in total, and 97 of them appear in 3 rankings or more.
Does appearing in more rankings mean somewhere is better?
No — it means it has been recommended for more different reasons. A park that suits hikers, families, dog owners and photographers can appear in four rankings; a restaurant that serves one dish superbly can only appear in one. Read the breadth table as versatility and the publications table as depth of agreement, and neither as a verdict on quality.
How do you know two spellings are the same place?
We merge two entries only when the harvest already merged them, when their names fold to the same string, or when we have reviewed the pair by hand and recorded why. Everything else stays separate. A test regenerates the list of look-alike pairs on every build, so a new spelling has to be reviewed before it can ship — it cannot quietly become a double count.
Do you take payment for a place to appear here?
No. There is no paid placement and no affiliate relationship with any venue on this site. The order is arithmetic over published lists, every one of which is linked from the ranking it belongs to.
How often does this change?
The rankings rebuild monthly against freshly fetched sources, and this board is recomputed from them, so a place that stops being recommended drops down it. Nothing is carried forward by hand.
