The story
Marina Bay Sands opened in 2010 as an integrated resort developed by the Las Vegas Sands corporation and designed by architect Moshe Safdie. Its three 55-storey hotel towers are crowned by the boat-shaped SkyPark, home to one of the world's largest rooftop infinity pools. The complex also houses a casino, a vast shopping mall, convention halls and celebrity-chef restaurants. It has become an instantly recognisable symbol of modern Singapore's skyline.
