The story

East Coast Park is Singapore's largest and one of its most popular seaside parks, built on reclaimed land along the southeastern coast from the 1970s. Stretching for many kilometres beside the sea, it offers beaches, cycling and skating paths, barbecue pits, seafood restaurants and camping areas. It is a beloved weekend escape for families, cyclists and picnickers.

What to see & do

  • 05Views of passing ships out in the anchorage.

Make the most of your visit

  • The park is free; you pay only for rentals and food.
  • Come early morning or evening to avoid the midday heat.
  • Weekdays are far quieter than the busy weekends.
  • Bring sun protection and water for the open coastal stretches.

Getting there

There is no MRT directly at the park; take the MRT to stations like Bedok or Eunos and continue by bus or taxi, or cycle in via the park connectors. Taxi is the simplest option.
