The story
The Singapore Flyer is a giant observation wheel that opened in 2008 on the Marina Bay waterfront. Standing about 165 metres tall, it was for a time the world's largest observation wheel. Each rotation in its air-conditioned capsules takes roughly half an hour, offering panoramic views over Marina Bay, the city skyline and, on clear days, out toward neighbouring islands. It has become a fixture of Singapore's evening skyline.
