The enclosures seem designed to somewhat replicate the animals’ natural environments rather than simply displaying them openly. One trade-off with this approach is that the animals are not always easy to spot. Some were resting away from view, hiding from the heat, or blending into their surroundings. While this can be slightly disappointing when you are hoping to catch a glimpse of a favourite animal, it also makes the experience feel more natural and less staged. Although the zoo is large, it did not feel crowded even on a public holiday, as both the animals and visitors are fairly well distributed throughout the park. The zoo is still very big, and I ended up walking quite a large number of steps even with tram rides. I would strongly recommend making use of the tram, especially when visiting with family or older relatives, as the walking can add up quickly and become tiring in the heat and humidity. Personally, I found the visit enjoyable but also quite tiring due to the size. If comfort and a more relaxed pace are priorities, I found River Wonders easier to complete and more sheltered, though the zoo offers a wider variety of animals and a more expansive experience.”

If you’re planning a visit to the Singapore Zoo, my top tip is to go early – aim for opening time around 8:30 AM. Not only does it help you beat the crowds, but it keeps you ahead of the intense midday heat too. Arriving early means you’ll catch the animals at their most active, as they’re out and about during the cooler morning hours. We saw everything from playful orangutans to majestic elephants without the afternoon lethargy. Don’t miss the morning sea lion splash zone – it’s an absolute highlight! The sea lions put on a show with massive splashes that rival the whale shows at SeaWorld in San Diego (for those who’ve been). Kids and adults alike get soaked and loving it. Loved the freshly squeezed orange juice machines scattered around – super refreshing and a treat we don’t see much back home in India. Perfect for staying hydrated. Getting there is easy too: it’s about 1 hour by public transport from Little India, with smooth connections via MRT train and bus. Super convenient even without a car. Compared to the zoo, a significant portion of the park is air-conditioned and sheltered, making the experience noticeably more comfortable, especially in Singapore’s heat and humidity. Areas such as the giant panda enclosure and the aquarium sections housing the manatees offer a welcome break from the outdoors. Some of the highlights include the giant pandas, capybaras, giant river otters and manatees, and my personal favourite - the red panda. I found River Wonders more relaxing and easier to complete compared to the zoo while still offering enough variety to keep the visit interesting. It is also a good option for families with elderly visitors or for those who prefer a more comfortable pace.”

Honestly, this place is quite underrated, there are many cool animals to see. I was also lucky enough to see both Kai Kai and Jia Jia 🙏 I would recommend spending the extra $5 for the amazon river quest as well, as you get to see more animals like flamingoes, capybaras and even a jaguar. It is located nearby, so you can easily explore both attractions together. You can see many different varieties of fishes and marine creatures up close, which is truly a great experience. Watching them in real life feels very calming and exciting at the same time. Photography is allowed in most areas, but flash photography is prohibited in some sections because certain fishes are very sensitive to strong light. One thing to note is that there are not many places to sit and rest inside. They do have a few benches here and there, but they may already be occupied when it gets crowded. Since you need to walk through the entire aquarium, it can feel a little tiring after some time. However, the beautiful underwater views and marine life make the experience completely worth it. The washrooms inside were also very neat, clean, and well maintained, which made the visit more comfortable for families and tourists. There are also souvenir shops inside where you can buy cute gifts and accessories. The prices may feel a bit expensive, but many items are really unique and worth buying. I personally loved the collection and bought a bracelet as a memory from the visit. Overall, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable attraction for both children and adults visiting Sentosa.”

Children would really enjoy the park, but it’s better to take them once they are a bit taller because many rides have minimum height requirements. There can be long queues for popular rides, so be prepared for some waiting time. If you are confused about where to go or want to check ride timings, shows, and live events, make sure to download the Universal Studios app from the Play Store. It’s very helpful for navigation and planning your day. The hotel we stayed at was also good, and there were many food options available. We tried different kinds of biryani at an Indian café called Oasis. Most were nice, but the Roast Chicken Biryani was not that great, so I wouldn’t personally recommend that one. Some must-try rides are Transformers, Revenge of the Mummy, Minions, Shrek 4D, and the roller coasters if you enjoy thrilling rides. Revenge of the Mummy can feel a bit scary at first, but it’s completely safe and very exciting. Shopping areas also available to buy souvenirs. Unfortunately, the large roller coaster ride was closed during our visit, and WaterWorld was also not operating at that time. Still, overall it was an amazing experience and a must-visit attraction in Singapore.”

The park is well-organized, clean, and easy to navigate, which made the day stress-free and enjoyable. The rides were a great mix for both kids and adults. The Transformers and the Mummy ride was definitely a highlight, super immersive and thrilling. The Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure was another favorite, especially on a warm day! For younger kids, there were plenty of fun attractions and shows to keep them entertained. Plan weekdays as you have to wait less than hours on weekends. We visited on Wednesday and the average wait time was 10-20 mins or you can buy express passes for $100 each if planning on weekends. Best advice is to avoid visiting on Friday, Sat, Sunday and Mondays to avoid waiting for longer hours. What really stood out was the attention to detail in each themed zone, it truly feels like you’re stepping into different worlds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and wait times were quite reasonable considering how popular the park is. Food options were decent, though a bit pricey (as expected in theme parks), but there was enough variety to suit different tastes and there are some options for vegetarians as well i.e fries, burger and potato chips. Overall, it’s a must-visit if you’re in Singapore , perfect for families, couples, or even solo travelers looking for a fun day out. Definitely worth it!”

However, to really utilize your time wisely, you need a game plan. Here are my top tips: 1. ​Wait Times & Express Pass: Download the Universal Studios app immediately to keep an eye on ride wait times. If you see waits stretching beyond 20-30 minutes, bite the bullet and get the Express Pass. Without it, you will definitely miss out on a lot of rides and shows. 2. ​Divide and Conquer: For large, multi-generational groups, the best strategy is to split into two. We had the younger ones go on the thrilling rides while the seniors attended the seated shows. It kept everyone happy and entertained! 3. ​Strollers for Kids: There is a lot of walking, so definitely keep a stroller handy for the little ones. If you don't bring your own, it's very easy to rent one right near the entrance. ​Dining: If your family prefers Indian food, plan ahead. There is only one Indian food restaurant in the park, and it is located near the Mummy ride. ​Highly recommended, just be sure to plan your day out smartly!”

When we visit there was Disney Adventure cruise ship whuch was first launching.....me also attached the video of it... We visited during Chinese New Year. They have 2 rollers coaster which was on the transformers theme humans vs cylon.The scariest one and the best was the cylon coaster.universal express which was worth it for all the rides especially on weekends to get fast access to the rides especially the roller coaster or the popular rides as the wait time goes up to more than 1 hour. I wish there were seats in the queuing area. Some rides are not very popular, like Buggie Boogie, Silly Swirly, Magic Potion Ride and Accelerator,Me Minion Mayhem, Shrek and Donkey Live Show, Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey, Ancient Egypt, and Jurassic Park. The Ancient Egypt zone added thrill and excitement with its detailed design and adventurous rides. There’s a perfect balance of high-adrenaline rides and relaxed attractions, along with plenty of food choices and great photo spots. Yes, it can get crowded at times, but the experience easily outweighs it. Overall, Universal Studios Singapore is an excellent destination for families. Such a wide variety of birds including from Australia, Asia and Africa, and loved the penguin exhibit where you can see above and below the water. Was very special to see Macaws and other rare birds so close up. Loved that you could walk through the netted areas where they were all just flying around freely. Lots of info and signage to learn about them. Accessible throughout and kid friendly. Bring your own bottle as there is water refill stations, plus a kids swimming area as well to cool off. Air conditioned rooms in between the areas was very welcomed as it's mostly an outside venue, although there's under covered areas in main entry and in some of the exhibits. Food options and places to eat on site as well including full meals or just light snacks and coffee.”

The park is beautifully designed and extremely well managed, making it comfortable to explore even during long walks. I saw a huge variety of birds that I had never seen before in my life. There are so many types of parrots in all possible colors, from bright red and yellow to deep blue and green, and each section feels lively and vibrant. One of the highlights of the visit was the large indoor waterfall area which creates a rainforest atmosphere and makes the entire environment feel natural and refreshing. The sound of flowing water along with birds flying freely around you makes the experience very immersive. I also loved watching the flamingos standing together in groups, adding a beautiful pink contrast to the greenery around them. The walking trails are well planned and there are many interactive and educational zones where you can learn about different bird species and conservation efforts. Staff members are polite and helpful, and the overall cleanliness is excellent. This is a perfect place for families, nature lovers, and photographers. Seeing the animals active at night is a completely unique adventure, and we were especially amazed by the rare and fascinating creatures, like the Tasmanian Devils. It is so special to observe them up close in such a beautifully designed, natural nocturnal habitat. ​One of the absolute highlights of our visit was the 40-minute guided tram ride. It is perfectly organized and takes you seamlessly through different geographical zones. It gives you a fantastic overview of the park while you spot animals right next to the tram in the dark. It is both thrilling and very comfortable! ​Additionally, the dining options far exceeded our expectations. There are great restaurants right at the park offering a wide variety of delicious food. What surprised us the most was the value—you can get a really fantastic meal for a very reasonable price, which is quite rare for major tourist attractions. ​Overall, it was a perfectly magical evening with excellent facilities, beautiful animals, and a wonderful atmosphere. The entire experience is SUPER well designed — dim lights, jungle sounds, animals casually appearing out of nowhere, and that famous tram ride making you feel like you’re on a secret wildlife expedition. 🚋🌴 The walking trails were the real surprise for us. Unlike typical zoos, you actually get to explore at your own pace and spot animals in beautifully recreated habitats. One moment you’re watching majestic leopards, the next moment you’re wondering if something is staring back at you from the dark trees. 😅 The tram ride is a MUST. Smooth, immersive, and perfect after all the walking. Pro tip: sit on the edge seats for the best views and animal spotting. The show is a typical animals show, not very special, but worth a look if you have sufficient time. The tram and the trail are where the fun really begins. They both go around the zoo in a circle. The tram allows you see some big animals and habitats, like elephant, while the trail allows you to see smaller creatures, like snake and bat. Overall I would say the trail is the best part. It feels like you are truly walking in a forest. Also, you can have a much more closer distance with the animals. Still, since the sun is gone, it is not easy to spot the animals. Some of them are sleeping as well. Moreover, please please make sure you are on a right bus when you leave. I got on the wrong bus and almost stranded on a highway.”

I also love how the animals seem to be well taken care of. overall the parks seems so much bigger than what it usually was yearrssss ago when I came. cleanliness was improved, more food varieties, many other new parks and even the restrooms were clean. recommended to book for animal show beforehand as I did and we got priority seats! TO ADD ON! extending my appreciation for Rozy who guided me and did some special arrangements for my daughter’s birthday. we were given a birthday badge and so got some birthday perks! also to Syafiq who was at the amphitheater for the animal show (7:30PM). he was friendly, warm, receiving and kind to my family and I. got good seats for us and birthday girl was happy! lastly to Ngel who’s helpful during the tram ride and again, we managed to get into the ride with a breeze with the birthday badge that my daughter has. happy to be at the Night Safari for my daughter’s 8th birthday and hoping to visit the rest of the parks soon! :D”

★★★★★JW· 3 months ago“Definitely a must-see attraction in Singapore! I know it's further away (probably one of the furtherest ones in Singapore), but it will be worth it. I went there in the evening (for the 8:15 entrance) and that didn't require me to wait for so long. Animals are awesome and make sure to hop on the cart ride. It's about 35-40 mins long and it gives you a little bit of breather (still hot and humid, of course) since you don't have to walk around all over! A few considerations before you plan for this attraction: - Make sure to purchase the admission tickets in advance. - Make sure to plan your route on how you are getting there and getting out (I took Grab on the way there and took a bus back to a nearest subway station and then subway back to my hotel). - Night Safari is bigger than I imagined and depending on the timing, there may not be enough drink / water stations. So bring some water with you. - If you also watching an animal show, it's about 25 mins. I would recommend sitting near the exit so that you can walk fast to the cart tour line sooner. (This does make a difference in your overall wait time and experience.)”
