5 locationsMy cruise put me ashore for a single day, and as a first-timer flying the flag for San Diego I wanted the highlights without a mad dash. The good news: Singapore is compact, spotless and easy to get around, so you can genuinely see the icons and still make it back to the ship.
This is the route I ran, starting right at the cruise gateway and working through the must-sees before circling back. It's paced so you're not sprinting, but every stop earns its place. If you've got one precious day, here's how to spend it.

I grabbed breakfast, sorted a few essentials, and popped up to the rooftop Sky Park for harbour views. The Sentosa Express monorail leaves from inside, so it doubles as your springboard to the island.
It connects directly to the MRT and the Sentosa monorail, so treat it as your transport hub, not just a shopping stop.

Even with limited time it's a lovely spot to sample — the beaches, the cable car with its sweeping views, and the general resort buzz. I kept it light, took the cable car for the vista, and dipped my toes in before heading back to the mainland.

The 8.6-metre statue spouts into Marina Bay with the whole skyline behind it, Marina Bay Sands included — it's the postcard shot everyone wants. It's a quick stop, half an hour or so, but standing there it finally felt like I'd properly arrived in Singapore.
It gets busy with photographers midday; be patient for a clear frame or angle the statue against the skyline.

The Cloud Forest conservatory wraps a towering indoor mountain and a 35-metre waterfall, the Flower Dome is the world's largest glass greenhouse, and the Supertree Grove is unlike anything back home. Late afternoon into evening is the sweet spot as the Supertrees start to glow.
Time it for late afternoon so you catch the conservatories in daylight and the Supertrees lighting up as dusk falls.

A lot of branded shops can be found at here. You can go Sentosa Singapore from here too. There is a park at rooftop as well, very chilling and relaxing.
