The story
Sentosa is a resort island off Singapore's southern coast whose name means 'peace and tranquillity' in Malay. Once a British military base known as Pulau Blakang Mati, it was redeveloped from the 1970s into a leisure destination. Today it is home to beaches, theme parks, golf courses, hotels and the Resorts World integrated resort, making it one of Singapore's most popular attractions.

Getting there
Take the MRT to HarbourFront station, then ride the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity, take the cable car, or walk across the Sentosa Boardwalk to reach the island.
Sentosa Island isn’t within an easy walk of an MRT station — most visitors arrive by bus, taxi or a dedicated shuttle. Plan the last leg accordingly.
