Singapore Expo from Changi Airport

About 25 minutes door to door on public transport, roughly S$1.59 with 2 transfers. Driving it is 6.2 km, about 10 minutes clear of event traffic.

The short answer

Take East-West Line to Expo, then Downtown Line to Upper Changi, then Bus 24 to Expo Halls 4/5/6. About 25 minutes with 2 transfers, roughly S$1.59. From Expo MRT Station it is about a 5-minute walk to the venue. On a show night, leave 70 minutes before you need to be at the gate.

Changi is where a same-day arrival starts. The MRT platform sits under Terminals 2 and 3 (a free Skytrain hop from T1 and T4), and the train into town is far quicker than a taxi in the evening peak.

Driving times are our own routing over OpenStreetMap and assume clear roads. Large surface and multi-storey car parks surround the halls — this is the easiest major venue in Singapore to drive to, and the exit roads onto the PIE and ECP are quick.

Timing it on a concert night

  • Allow about 70 minutes from Changi Airport — the routed 25 minutes plus a buffer for platform crowds, the walk from the station and the bag check at the gate.
  • Expo MRT sits at the front door on the Downtown Line and the Changi Airport branch of the East–West Line. Check which hall (1 to 10) your event uses — the halls stretch for several hundred metres and walking to the wrong end costs 10 minutes.
  • Expo station handles convention crowds routinely and clears quickly. Note the Changi Airport branch service: after a late show, check the last-train times posted at the station if you are heading west into the city, and consider the Downtown Line as the alternative.
